Yo, whay up er'ybody.  I know it's been quite a long minute since you all have heard from me.  And I have gotten many phone calls and emails that I have juyst not been able to return yet.  I just wanna let you all know that all is well, but a brotha is just HELLA busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!        (that's what I feel like most all day everyday lately).

We are gearing up for this tour and on toup of this being my first ever tour to go out on, I have a LOT, and I do mean A LOT, of responsibilities right now.  It is an awesome and amazing time right now and I am learning so so so so so so so much.  I have been in Baltimore for the past week in final tour rehearsals.  Actually, Baltimore for the first 5 days, then NYC on Thursday/Friday and got back home to Dallas yesterday afternoon.  Once I got to my car at like 12:30 pm yesterday, I had right at about 48 hours until I have to be back at the airport to catch a flight to Chicago, then to Cleveland on Monday.  I took care of a few personal matters yesterday then by the time I crashed last night, I slept for like 10 hours.  Considering the fact that I had only had about 6 hours combined sleep in the previous 4 days, 10 hours was a reeeeeal blessing.  Today is a day to pack, clean, pay bills, and get everything in order to leave.  Oh yeah, and I don't think I mentioned that I moved to a new place just a few weeks ago, so I am trying to make sure all is well there, too, before I leave.

Once I leave on Sunday, I will be on the road for possibly up to 4 months.  Yikes!   As I said, it's a very exciting time, but also a little intimidating.  On top of all of THAT pressure and the general demands of my tour duties in general, it has been raining ever since I got home.  DOH!  I hate it!

If you are ever just chilling out or sitting at work and happen to think of me, first please say a prayer for me because I am quite sure I will need it.

** in fact, I would like to pause to give you an opportunity to say a prayer for me right now.  Why don't you just go ahead and do that....

... Ok, great.  thanks so much.  I really needed that!

As I was saying, if you do happen to think of me, first please say a prayer for me because I am quite sure I will need it.  Then, look at your calendar to see what day it is, go to www.kirkfranklin.us, and click on 'tour' to see where I am.  I will try to blog when ever possible and also take a lot of pictures of all the places I go.

I love you all and hope you all are doing well.  If I know you, I will try to holla when we roll through your city and maybe we can connect for a few minutes, but no promises.  As I have never been on a tour, I have no point of reference for what the next 4 months of my life are going to look like and therefore have NO idea what to expect.  So, don't hate me if we miss each other.  Jesus is still King.

Peace and love.

okay, i prayed for you! and i will keep up with where u are on tour. now, why are you going on tour? i would love to hear what it is you will be doing?. teen talent is coming up and Sophi is entereing to sing and did some artwork. remember when Livi sang and the she went out and cried, and you tried to cheer her up by telling her that most of those ppl should not even be allowed to HOLD a microphone LOL...its still the same today unfortunately. i think the one that took the cake was last year two teen age boys singing an old time song about their Mom dying and going to heaven(really country) and their Mom was accompanying them on the piano!! NOw I found that strange that boys age 15 would WANT to sing that, and then the choice of subjects , well WEIRD doesnt do it justice, Sophi is singing Image of the Invisible by Thrice or Anticonformity by Krystal Meyers. Love and Hugs from the Mallinak fam
